This summer, a good number of my friends made the trek from east to west coast and back again, traveling the span of the continental U.S. Whether having just graduated from college and taking some time off, or seeing the summer as the perfect opportunity before senior year, I’ve noticed each of them have finished the trip a little bit happier, and with a little better understanding of who they are. I’ve found travel can do that to a person, clear your head, put things into perspective that otherwise get lost in our mundane routines, and that’s why I love it so much. I knew that I wanted to do a piece highlighting their journeys, and honestly I’ve learned so much from them (which I’m excited to translate over into a trip of my own, hopefully next summer). So without further ado, here are the experiences of Haley and Kenzie:

No trip ever goes 100% as planned, so one thing I always love asking is what people would do differently if they could do it all over again, or at least something that they encountered that they hadn’t realized they might have to deal with. Haley and Kenz both had some good advice to give about while they were on their trips, but also just about taking the leap in general.
